Matt Erdmann
General Manager
Matt has spent his career working in hospitality. He started caddying while in high school and later attended Ferris State University to pursue a Marketing / Professional Golf Management degree. He was able to work in many states including Illinois, Florida, Ohio, Georgia and North Carolina until settling in Indiana. In 2020, Matt transitioned to a new endeavor managing an RV Resort that opened up a whole new experience with many more layers of fun. To say Alpen Bluffs Outdoor Resort blends everything he loves would be an understatement!
When not on the job, he enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren, and daughters Evelyn and Vera. They love spending time outdoors and are thrilled for many new adventures in Gaylord, MI and beyond.
Kathy Platt
Director of Team Member Services
Kathy offers a rich blend of expertise to our team, drawing from her diverse background spanning Restaurants, Retail, Sales, Operations, and Human Resources, which ignited her passion. Over the past six years, she has led a Learning Development team within the luxury multi-family housing sector, where she immersed herself in employee relations, recruiting, and organizational development. Her guiding principle is that continuous learning is key to personal and professional growth; she firmly believes that everyone has room to evolve and improve.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kathy finds joy in the company of her three dogs, cherished family moments, exploring new destinations, and being out on the water.
